I've been thinking about trying to put an Aisin unit onto my carb EA82, haven't really researched it yet. I do know the carb will either need to be changed for a "blow through" unit, or the existing carb will need to be boxed up and pressurised.

Anyone shed any light on the issue?

From what I've heard Steve @ Rising Sun is your man.

Steve is your Man for this, he runs a blown EA82 in a buggy and it puts out good power levels.

Points to remember-
most superchargers dont like fuel going through them, as such Steve is running LPG through a toyota mr2 blower.
The petrol eats the seals apparently.

Most carbies also hate blow through action - SU's are the only ones I know which will handle it, let me know if you want one, I have 2 x 1 3/4" ones here.

You will battle if you have either power steering or A/C - there is not a heap of room in there to keep the blower below the bonnet line.

I AM SO TEMPTED AS WELL, I have the Blower, the gas, the bad attitude, I am just a little scared of putting 6psi in a standard EJ22.
Opinions??

Tasbrat, you already have the makings of a great blown engine. If I had your setup that blower would be on there already! No friggin' ECU getting in the way!

Although 6psi is prolly as much as you'd want to run.

Can you run a s/charger on an ej22 using a turbo harness/ computer?
Will the ignition retard work and would all the boost controls match up?
Thinking of running max 10psi.
Will the ej22 block and std pistons handle such boost??
Thanx
