looking at replacing the 27" tyres with 29" or about. Will a 3" lift cut it or am i better going straight for 4" or more? The setup i'm working on for the rear should give me 5" more clearance, its the front i want to get right. If anyones done it what combination, that is strut tops ,crossmember spacing, caster rod bracket and springs did use or recomend? On a L series
Thanks

that bloody brumby at the club meeting got you keen didnt it ;)

I reckon you will be wanting a 3" crossmember spacer in the front and maybe a 4" strut top if your planning on keeping your standard struts. Even then theyre prob gonan rub like a bitch. They rub on a liberty and the wheel arches are way bigger already

dont put too much angle on your front driveshafts you will get sick to death of changing them

he did some pretty major guard trimming. the tyres are 235/75R15 from memory so 29 inch.

theres still atleast 2.5" from top guard to top of tyre it actually looks pretty balanced

wasnt too hard just a case of putting tyre on and off and goin 4 a drive till it fits took me a weekend for the front and a weekend for the back i found it quite basic and i dont know that much really i trimmed about a good 50 to 70mm off outer guard front and back

which tyres did you go with? Can't wait to see it!

How well do they sit in the guards, do you need flares, or are they okay?
