Another EJ22 and loom "bench" test

Post by El_Freddo » Mon Jun 10, 2019 10:15 pm

So, I'm at it again

Here's my second EJ conversion first start up in my makeshift testing "facility", pretty much bang on 10 years since doing the one for Ruby Scoo.

And back in 2009:

Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with this result!

More on it later, probably in the appropriate build thread ;)

Bennie nicely done I have to do this to an EJ18 eventually.

I will probably go this way if I can find a broken gearbox

If not I have a box sitting on the ground here I can bolt my engine up to

Thanks mate.

My only concern with mounting the starter like that is you expose the flywheel. I can be a little OHS over the top at times but I think it easy to overcome. Plus you’d need to have an eight bolt engine for this to work, or shave the bell housing down to include the lower stud.

Cheers
