My Sherpa has currently got 1 3/4" with single muffler for exhaust, K&N filter, MSD 6A for ignition, thicker plug leads, V-groove plugs, and a set of 13" mags with semi-slicks when I want to drive a gokart.

It's fun to drive, next step is turbo or supercharger. Brakes work sufficiently, I doubt they will need an upgrade even after forced induction.

Chris_Rogers has modified one extensively. From memory it's supercharged, EFI from Camira, bigger wheels, Mazda 323 brakes on rear (maybe), and possibly 929 items on the front. I honestly can't remember all details.

Anything can be done, just depends how patient and willing you are and how thick your wallet is in some cases. However, if you own a Sherpa, generally not that thick...

Vivio supercharger is something I've been thinking of adapting to the carby system also. If you don't end up using the charger, pass it on! =)

The PCD is 4x100 and the offset depends on the wheel width. I haven't been able to find a suitable offset yet. I currently have a set of Holden Gemini 13" wheels. They are 6" wide and can't remember offset but they stick out.

Bumping up this ancient thread!

i have come across another sherpa! it was purchased as my Daily untill the engine popped, it was rebuilt using bits from 3 engines/ using all brand new gaskets and seals.. first start up.. making horribile noises. (havent really started it since)

my question is.. is there any other engine i could possibily drop in?

Rotary 13B?

get a suzuki jimny or Dihatsu Feroza running gear and mate to the sherpa shell? (the Sherpa would look cool up on big wheels/tires haha)

or should i just try sell it and let someone else play with it haha

cheers Tony

So that would basically be a subaru Mighty Boy and the 4x4 would be the subaru Jutsy that we didn't get here. I've heard its the same body but wider and is 4wd - dunno what engine it runs though...

Our little sherpa paddock bomb is awesome! The CV's are shot, your feet get wet when it rains but it starts every time and runs on the smell of an oily rag... hehehe, good times! It also sounds heaps better than my EA exhaust note (cos the EA has a standard exhaust)...

Cheers

When you think about it a Vivio isn't really that much bigger than coughing up a good sized lougie ;)
