Lifting 1990 rs liberty

im planning on installing a 3" lift kit on my new liberty and i am putting the word out to find out if there is any dramas or difficulties in installing a kit to this lib.

i have done many lift kits in L series cars but never a lib, so if there is any heads up please let me know b 4 i get stuck into it soon

id assume the same story's with any of the subaru lifts no matter the chassis type. only one real way to find out ;)

pretty well the same keep an eye on the rear wheel and how close it get to the front lip at the bottom of the guard, you may need to extend a few lines with a 3 inc, probly better going 2 inch body a 3" strut tops in a lib a few guys ovr here run that setup and it works well.

when you drop it all the part where the pitching stay bolts to the firewall need to be modded as the intercooler touches when it all goes down and lengthen the pitching stay as normal.

the exaust at the rear will touch the inner cv joint on the diff so either bend it or get another one made.

um thats all i can think of atm maybe byb01 or sudi one can add to it....

A good lift kit should come with a replacement pitching stay rod.
SubaMike how is your liftkit install going? or are u still waiting for the kit...

cheers guys, the intercooler has been changed for a top mount wrx one so i hope this doesnt present any problems in the kit install.

anybody else have anything i should be aware of?

and btw, im doing a 3" lift kit caus it came with the car:P just never installed
