is EJ22 matched to L series 5 speed

If your using an adapter plate then your using the L flywheel,
The clutch has to match the flywheel,
Non turbo motors seem fine with a standard L clutch (mines a supercrap auto one), but i think the ej turbo boys are using custom clutchs?

There is a clutch plate that allows you to use a standard ej flywheel on the L series box, I don't remember what part no it is but I'm pretty sure it was rising sun steve that recommended it.

If/when we find out what it is we probably should add it to the tech manual.

What clutch disc you use is not as important as which pressure plate you use. An XT6 PP will hold the power of an EJ22 with no slippage. Use that with an OEM L series clutch disc and you're all set.

We never got the XT6 in Australia, so the down-under solution is to use an up-rated EA82 pressure plate.

It'd be real nice if we did get the XT6!
