Installing Dual Carbs & Performance

Post by xaymaca » Tue Nov 08, 2005 11:50 pm

Just wondering who's installed Dual Carbs onto their standard EA81 (non-dual carb EA81) and what was needed?

I've heard that the EGR will need to be blocked off. Do the standard choke and throttle cable bolt up? And the manifold too? What about all the vacuum lines?

Also, once the carbs are on, are there any things I need to tune?

G'day Xaymaca. Ive got twin carbs on a rebuilt twin exhaust port motor. I live up in the Dandenongs; not far from you. If you want, we could meet some time and you could have a look at how mine are set up. Much easier than photos and explanations.

Well, all is well in the land of dual carbs! :D Got it up and running today, took me a few hours. I'll take some pics, and also some of my new tyres.

Thanks to the people that sent me pics of their setup for a reference.
