Clutch cable will work just fine, TW you may need to add a washer.
The accelerator cable I used was from an 1991 model teltsar, perfect length and it just needed a trim of the plastic clip to get it to fit the firewall hole.
It even comes with a mounting tab to screw right into the hole in the inlet.
You will se what I meen.
Good luck.

If the EJ clutch cable can't be made to fit at the pedal end go the L- series cable, you will also have to change the cable mounting bracket on the EJ box to the L series one. no mods, its interchangable.
Currently using a late 80's 929 acc cable, which is probably very simlar to the telstar. Early NA imprezza acc cables are also a nice fit.

I used the Lib EJ22 acc cable.

The telstar acc cable worked pretty good, the one I used was off an 88. Only issue could be that a ball is used to mount the cable to the pedal instead of the standard cylinder shaped metal end. Could wear out?
Just attempted to fit the L series clutch cable. Length -good, fit to pedal- bad! Mounting system is quite different and looks like we will have to modify the pedal box to get it to bolt up. Any other ideas or hints, would prefer to use the L cable as had to buy it from subaru and it cost $90.

So, have I got the wrong L series cable or have you all modified the pedal box to make it fit ?????

Ended up taking the pedal box out. Grinded off the cables bracket, welded six mm steel plate where the bracket was and tapped the steel to bolt the L series cable to. Worked pretty good.

The MY pedal has to be modified to take the L cable.

I used one from an early 90s Telstar. Flexible Drive Agency part number BA278. It's a few mm too long, but a cable tie works a treat to pull it tight.

I've used the EJ cable - I drilled out the hole in the firewall with a file to fit the EJ cable, then laid it out the way it does in the liberty engine bay. Works a treat and is just long enough for the job as I've not altered the go faster pedal in anyway...
