EA to EJ radiator adapters ...interested

Post by stamp_licker » Fri Oct 06, 2006 9:49 am

just putting the feelers out to see if anyones interested in ea to ej radiator adapters. What they are is a alloy tube with the ea 28mm one end and the ej size the other, just cut and connect hoses. They are beaded at both ends to stop the hoses slipping.they can have a boss in them which can be tapped out to fit the ea water temp sender.mucking about with a prototype at the moment not sure what hoses to use for the bottom but the top is a matter of joining the ea and ej hose together.

I am sure you have realised you need to include an earth wire connection for the water temp sender....I learnt the hard way when I insatlled my temp sender half way along the radiator pipe and didn't think about earthing!

I would be interested in your product...at this stage I have inserted 3 inches of the smaller L pipe inside the larger EJ pipe and high temp siliconed it in there so there is a double thickness of pipe clamped on at the radiator end.........car is not back on the road yet so hasn't been tested to see if it holds together.

Having reciently done the EJ thing, I put the little bit of MY hose under the EJ hose at first, I don't know wether my radiator was dodgy to start with or I overtighten the clamp, but the top outlet colapsed. Ended up getting the outlets changed to suit the EJ. If your making hose adaptors i'd suggest making a right angle adaptor for the bottom hose.
