Can anyone lead me to a thread where some one has written about lowering a MY. coil front/torsion rear, Im trying to find out so I can drop the brumby on its arse! I know all you guys love the lift but I'll save that for when I get an L wagon, ute strictly street. just dont know how i'd drop the rear any lower then the manual adjustment allows you to as it sites on the bump stops at max drop. I have seen someone with a white brumby who dropped it real low but I dont know who owned it and that was way back on the old board when I saw it. Dont know if it was real or computer generated.

Not recomended but. You can remove the bump stops and then lower it if if has adjustment left. You can also remove the torsion bar and move it one knotch down and then use the manual adjustment. However you will need new shocks to go with that i dont know the number but there is a bolt in shorter version available

might keep the bump stops, but I will look into pulling the torsion bar out and rotating it a notch or two, just need to find those shockies now. Might have a play with this in a week or two. If there is anyone who has done this mod with torsion bar feel free to give me some pointers.

can you get springs compressed? is it worth it? is it expensive?

i have a set of lowered king springs that will fit the front and u just move the torsion bar round a notch and use the adjuster to even it up

id recommend going for new shocks all round to try and give you some ride quality, but theres not too much travel before you start hitting the bump stops

no dramas with the brumby torsion bar, just need those king springs of yours or a part number at least? do you have the part number for the shockies, Cause Im led to believe that I need shorter ones.

umm im not sure abuot which shocks are the shortedt, but i used the adjustable spring perch ones on the lowest setting

50 bucks and the springs are yours, from memory 250 bucks new

look at the pics of my brumby in the wheels and tyres thread, the rear bars have been rotated and bump stops cut off, i've carried a 1/2 meter of soil in the back and even with the tyrs fitted it didn't scrape or bottom out, as for the shocks they should be the same lenght as the sedan which is lower, even try a rear torsion tube from a sedan and swap it over to your car
