Am posted in conversions, so not standard part
am 380mm long from extreme tip to tip
also got some brothers at 405mm for same application, different vehicle, just a bit more room to move sort of thing.
So, if you make same from 380 to 405mm should be OK

Definitely a hydraulic hose of some sort...like no brake line I've ever seen on an MY though!

my guess is from the WRX master cylinder to the MY distribution block underneath

Yes, they are brake fluid lines
Yes , they are to go on an MY but has no EJ stuff involved

Well the only thing I can think of then is the hoses in the rear end from the body to the trailing arms, but they sure aren't as long as 400mm...maybe these are bypassing the trailing arm-hard line altogether and going straight to the wheel?

BINGO ! Just you forgot to add that it is for L Series disc rears ...but you knew that coz this is in the conversions thread, right ? The L rear caliper rubber hose, coupled to the contorted MY former rear drum pipe that then joins halfway along the swing arm - thought it could look better - quite some time ago. Had the wheel off, looked , thought and acted.
Got a prototype made up, back to ute, fit , bend, fit - the pipe end is 60mm of pipe, and allows for a thumb bend only once the caliper end is fitted up tight. Do a thumb bend at any other time and you risk it looking like crap and needing rebend.
It may also be possible to do a 25mm bit of pipe and need no bend - letting hose get the kink to miss the swing arm.
Yet to fit up the pair and bleed

Yeah I was going to say rear brake lines too ...
It's just missing a bend on the end ...
Cheers, Bantum ...

forty for the first one - probably coz I got to supervise

The other three turned out @$35 a piece - quantity discount
The longer measure is yet to be tried, may need to nip a bit off the pipe end and go another double flare ....

only problem I usually have with brake fittings is getting to screw together without cross threading

.Always seems to be the positions where brake fluid wants to leak all over me
Pretty sure it is M10 but in 1.0mm pitch and sure as I don't have thread cleaner in that size just yet
