strut braces

Is there any advantage of using front/rear strut braces or these h braces they sell on ebay for a 91 lib, the car is used as a daily driver, and tourer, will soon have an ej20t when i can find a front cut.
how do they fit a rear one anyhow have had a look in the boot and can't even see the top of the strut but haven't removed the boot lining yet.
