painted, and pinchweld rubber edge fitted..
fitted mounts to the tub, foam rubber seal and 25mm square tube across the front for the rubber strip to fix to.(unfortunately i forgot to take photos before fitting the lid)
i've fitted the lid, gas struts, and rubber strip across the window to help seal the hinge.
the gas struts work perfectly.. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10205625048172394
locking rods have been fitted to the actuators, i just need to make a catch on the tub, then connect them to the switch inside the cab..

catches are made and actually work really well..
i have wired it all up and it works great.. i have to apply a little pressure to the lid while locking/unlocking the lid or the pins don't locate properly.. i'm hoping this will change after the rubber seal has settled..

rough guess i would say it weighs about 20kg give/takeBantum wrote:You mean paint the inside ? yes that would look good.
Got any idea how much it weighs ?
I was thinking it could be done in carbon fibre for a sleeker, light weight effort.
Cheers, Bantum ...
