I think something like this topic is missing in here for those curious about the Webers being used on Subes (not for highway use of course unless approved by the authorities)

I was curious as to how to access the jets that are being swapped about for tuning purposes by people, got a description - thought pics would be good for others not in the know.

I was pleased to find things a bit different to Holleys that needed a new fuel bowl gasket each time :)

Thread under construction......

Where do I think the jets are now ???

Now that I see the little brass plug, uses a perishing o-ring as a seal too.

Jet sizes are stamped on jets themselves in almost magnifying glass size numbers. These are 50 and 55 in this carby, yet to confirm which is which as in primary or secondary. Room for a double accelerator pump ??

The next thing people fiddle with and change, are the air bleed jets seen as a pair of brass tops ( ~ 2/3 rds way down pic). I have attempted to remove with straight blade screwdriver, managed to undo and have it tumble about down there in the orifice but won't just fall out of there. Must need to have the top section removed ?

A shame there were no aftermarket inlet manifolds as there were for so many other cars, such as this fire breathing Pierce number :)

With some light adjustments in Picasa, we can now see a manual choke variety, and is that an idle mixture screw ?
The other sides jet behind similar brass plug, well not actually behind, these are the jets screw head.
Accelerator pump housing, and likely a rotting diaphragm inside :(

The filter side of the black plastic PCV breather hose connection is partially blocked by the filter, looks like a factory afterthought.

Now, for those that actually know something about these carbies could post up their jet selections, known parts providers for jets and gaskets, diaphragms, adaptor plates , measures of various manifold stud patterns as A81 had two ? with the later being same as EA82 carby ??.

Well I did have a nice in depth response to your post, then my daughter decided that I needed to be distracted ... so here I go again.

the jets on the side of the carby are the idle jets, the air bleeds will come out when the top of the carby is removed, you will be suprised at how well made these little parts are. Our American counterpart was the cheapest supplier of parts for these carbys.

there is a power valve inside the caby redline states that this is good for the life of the carby yet they sell replacement powervalves on their site.

as for jets everybody has different jets for their own preference as well altitude makes a difference to the way these carbys are jetted.

my 32/36 is jetted with 55 idles and a 135 main and a 150 secondary my 34ADM has 55 idles and a 130 main and a 135 secondary ( I think)

make sure you have a rebuild kit before you pull the top of the carby

Ok, thanks TOONGs, yet to look at those links of yours - and links are good. Do they show where the main jets are located?
