Hill Holder into Brumby

I have a 5 speed conversion lined up for my Brumby. The donor car had a hill holder which I took too. Has anyone put one into a brumby? It was sitting on the pax side chassis rail in the L series but the brumby A/c and heater valve hoses will interfere with it there, so it looks like it might need to sit under the master cylinder on the drivers side chassis rail.
If you've got one in your MY I would love to see some pictures. Cheers, Ron

I'd like one too, and cruise control. Eventually.
I miss those features from my forester the most.

Alright, just thought I would give this a bump. I've been to the brake shops but they don't want to touch it with a 60 foot pole. I'll mosey on over to USMB - but if someone has done it, please let me know.

Mudking reckons he can do it.
He said we will find one at a wreckers and then just put it in.
He sorta has a plan bit it will be do it as we go.
May or may not do it. It's a weird feeling, drive an old L and he said try it out.
Would an 08 liberty or an 02 STi have one?
As I said before, I use a handbrake.
Cheers Cam

Turbo's don't have it, auto's done. All manual non turbo subaru's have it from the L-Series(not sure about MY) up until the latest model Forester.
I love it in my Foz, use it all the time. It's the best thing to have in traffic.

Does that mean Dads L series has it, and the L series I junked? And every other bog standard manual L series putting around these days?? I never even knew that...well the one in our L doesn't work if it is there

Can someone give me a photo of an L-series AU domestic model Subaru with the hill holder installed. I remember the unit was mounted on the pax side - would like a picture of the master cylinder. Anyone know if the L series and Brumby vac booster units are interchangeable?
I have the RX brakes on the back so I am considering a swap over to a complete L series setup... Or maybe shelving the idea but that sounds too easy. And I did really love it on my old L series.

Here's a scan of hill holder plumbing in a 91 L series, let me know if you want a better picture.

You also need a cable pulling at the clutch fork....no need to change master - no different between L's with or without BUT an RX master different to NA and having said that I run NA - ala disc drum master in my turbo with no problems - just better braking than original
