On my 90 liberty I should be able to switch brakes/backing plates with the larger items from a 2.5 outback 98ish model?

Pretty sure I can, just asking

So you are just upgrading the front and rear brakes on your Gen1 Liberty?

Gen1 EJ22 has 260mm front rotors with single 57.2mm piston calipers.
Gen2 EJ25 has 277mm front rotors with twin 42.8mm piston calipers

Gen1 EJ22 has 266mm rear rotors with 34.9mm piston calipers
Gen2 EJ25 has 266mm rear rotors with 38.1mm piston calipers

It should bolt straight on, shouldnt even have to change backing plates.

But you cant run 14" wheels with the twin piston front calipers

Cheers! It has 16" Subaru alloys on it ATM and if I switch those with the forester wheels I only drop to 15's so that's all sweet.
