Nulon G70 for manual boxes - results??

Post by steptoe » Fri Apr 06, 2012 11:53 pm

Been a long time since I have used this stuff until today , fed the 250 ml into the Brumby 4 speed to quieten the diff whine and mainly to soften and rejuvenate the seals that leak or may leak.

Gonna do the Vort to prevent future leaks SCA has a bit off sale Sat only - hope they restocked since I got last tube !

Anyway, I fed it same time I fitted my reinforced pedal box, lubed all pivots, found my low speed 'miss' ( LPG air duct came adrift , lucky the bonnet held things down  ) ended up with a faster idle - need to adjust but it is not my imagination - this thing has more zip, think it shifts nicer ??? was only coming to conclusion that the G70 may actually be something felt in seat of pants when reading up on it - was chasing best price - saw review and thought hmmmm.

A used car wholesaler I know told me to try some G70 in it to help with the whine - if there's any tricks he'd be knowing them :D

Need to listen for the whine next drive

Anyone else got anecdotal stuff for G70 ??

Have used the magic goo a few times, seems to break down and lose it's effect after about 6 months. But for the first 4-6 months, what a difference.
