I'm after any information on the camshaft that is suitable for use with Hi Flow Heads for an EA81 Engine, these are the heads that have the exhaust and inlet valves reversed. Can anyone help or is there a thread already?

What you need is the genuine twin carb EA71~81 camshaft or try someone like Ivan Tighe or waggot engineering at Alstoneville north of Newcastle for a custom billet camshaft only options available unfortunately.
I have a complete engine as do some others and they generally are not for sale that often so when they do come up you jump them quickly.

are you running this with the twin carbs?
if not i suggest you talk to phantom D

I started out wanting to us a twin carby setup, but now I am considering using a weber, less problems with balancing/tuning the carbys. I have spoken to phantom_D earlier when I was looking for the twin carby manifold and he gave me a few clues how to find them. So far I have been able to locate a couple of twin carby manifolds, both without original carbys, and two sets of hi flow heads. Can't seem to crack the twin carby cam. The guys I have been speaking to won't part with them for love nor money. Just found out yesterday that there is a guy here on the Gold Coast that can grind cams from a billet, and use to work for some big cam joint in Sydney, might have to find him and find out wots wot. Thanks for the comments so far, all info is gratefully accepted.

I have hi flow heads and a 272 cam in bianca but i brought it like it is, but they are so worth it. Also running a Weber and she just screams

Done all my cams last 30 years.

He told me 16/56 was about the steepest I should take my EA81 cam and I didn't listen second EA81 around, went for 20/60. I reckon 16/56 is the best grind for good al rounder on normal camshaft.

I'm building his engine for him, and they are dual port heads,;).

Seems like EA81S engine/manifold/heads are more common than I thought; I've counted mention of five in this thread so far, and I know there's more out there.

So does anyone actually know the original cam that came in the engine? littlewhiteute does the engine you're building for Phantom have the original dual port heads-cam in it?

The engine is an original dual port, has not been apart.

Not as healthy as most engines I've done, but shows promise.
