Post by alx92 » Mon Jan 02, 2012 6:35 pm

Hey all, my gen 1 is a 4spd auto FWD, and i was wondering if it is possible to convert it to AWD without too much hassle? i know id have to change the gearbox and the entire rear end

Also the fuel tank but that's easy enough when the rear cross member is out, shouldn't really be too expensive as any sedan or wagon parts up to late 98 will fit......except possibly the rear struts.

Really only worth doing if you really like your car though as good AWD's are pretty common & cheap.
