A arm subaru

i was thinking about it while i was doodling about my offroad beast that im collecting parts for
why hasent it been done? or even tried?
i might draw one up if i get the chance, need to work out where i can place it, will have to be above the gearbox about mid point with the lower mounted to the g/b and cut the inner wheel well out

Are you talking about a double wishbone setup like the old holdens had in the '70s when they really were an australian design?

yes a double wishbone setup, however with a long travel emphasis.
much like offroad buggies and the like, ill upload some inspiration photos later

heres a photo of the sort of design, but it wont be set so close to the middle of the car due to gearbox and engine

And won't have half the travel because it'll be too short.............Unless you have the wheels outside the body.

I reckon for now someone should look into converting their L or MY to a solid axle rear using toyota tercel gear

i would do that but it would have to be lifted heaps so i can take advantage of the flex. popo bait

Haha you would havee to change suspension terceels didnt flex weell as thhey used struts instead of coilss

is that in reference to the photo? or to the current amount of travel that you can get from a subaru?
im not looking for a huge amount of travel, i just want somthing different, camber when and where i want it and other little things im chasing.

deffinatly what this thread is, if you go back to the start of the thread it was a concept idea
i had a look and did some napkins on my day off. The only way it can be done is by cutting most of the original car away such as the inner guards and the rails.
