Post by spike » Fri Oct 29, 2010 12:28 pm

picked up a new interior for Lisa today, RX turbo checkered door trim mildly damaged where some tool went and put their speakers in, the sun visors.
got offered the seats included but werent that interested due to damage.

and all this cost me just 20$ from subareck in SA

also if anyone needs anything from a wreckers pm me and we (myself, paul and you) can sort somthing out, expect bargains but not freebies =)

I'd be after the diff and rear disc setup of that RX Leone :)

thought id share somthing.
i went and saw paul today, apparently theres been an influx of people looking to buy stuff and well thats all good.
but i have to say, paul has a buisness to run, he has rent, wages, taxes all that crap. if you want to get disk brakes for less than 100 dollars, go steal them off somone else cause he simply cannot sell them that cheap and i doubt anyone could.

dont expect charity from any buisness, pauls awesome if you respect him but dont treat him like an idiot

Fact is Spike prices in SA for disc brakes and other RX goodies are generally higher - always have been - less volume & reasonable demand with our older fleet.

You posted on an (inter)national website how awesomely cheap your deal was - stands to reason people will follow suit and look for a bargain.

My experience: disc brakes in SA were $400-550 back in the day. Ended up buying from Vic for $150 from a wrecker who was known to be 'pricey'.

Paul may well have sales out this - hope he does, and remember wreckers are well used to dealing with bargain hunters.

yeah i know sven, but paul sells disk brakes for 550, and thats bringing them in from OS.

but when somone tells them that they will pay 100 for them like cmon i cant even get that in US. same as what he wanted to pay for the LSD, again under 200 somthing seems wrong
