Hi all,
Can somebody please demystify the options on this page for me please?
http://www.tighecams.com.au/profiles3/subaruea81.htm
I'm looking for a cam upgrade to go with twin hitachi carbs that will make the car gruntier to drive for mainly on-road use.
What exactly is involved to replace the cams?
Thanks in advance!

You are in QLD which is where Ian Watson of Watson Race Cams moved to from Peakhurst in Sydney, some years back 2? he did me a 20/60 .235 lift cam for my EA81. It came with a warning - fit big tyres and try go up long haul mountains like MT Ousley in Wollongong was his example and you will run out puff. Took that onboard and found with a reasonable load on it can get breathless and hotter but with no payload and up the higher end of the rev range in lower than fourth up hills it is great. Long haul hill I use to measure get it to accelerate in third and hit 110 in a spot where my EA82T L sedan has only done 120 but got there a little quicker. He previously did me a 16/56 when I asked for 20/60 and that was the better cam, I stressed I wanted the 20/60 this time around, and must credit his experience in doing 15/56 first time around. If you don't want any drawbacks the 16/56 is the way I'd go again. Running twin carbs brought the best out in 16/56 cam
And must split block to change cam, means heads off. You should also get the lifter bottoms refaced for new cam
