and don't they stop sooo muuuuch better when you stick em on. YEE HAH !!! The hardest thing is finding them, and there is two calliper bore sizes. Standard is abot 30mm. The 4WD turbo Vortex you may come across may have got the bigger 33 or 35mm bore. They may just give too much bias to rears without any other controls in place.

Front springs may be same. Front brakes Phizinza says do not even try due to angle differences in front struts. Just go the disc rear and you will forget about needing bigger front stuff :)

L Series 5 speed boxes fit with some easy mods, the round interior central lights go in same screw spacing and much better light and switch. L Seies and other front seats also fit. Rear diffs and diff front mounts are same.

its on ebay, wrecking an L series. has an EJ22 with a liberty 5speed.

the L series crossmember wont fit the Brumby? dropping in the EJ22 and box would still need the usual mods (chassie rails, crossmember)

No. L engine cross will not bolt in, know a guy used Imp cross to fit EJ into a Brumby with all Imp front stuff

EJ22 into Brumby requires no chassis rail or engine crossmember mods. This is one of the EJ22 with SOHC heads. It's only the quad-cam engines that need chassis rail mods, and only the turbo ones that need crossmember mods (to clear the turbo crossover pipe).

To get that gearbox to fit though, for a start you have to use a custom length tailshaft, make a custom gearbox crossmember, and mod the shifter linkages.

I think a lot of work went into the Brumby many years ago to go EJ20G (has odd looking front set up with 15" 5 stud rims) RS Lib pull type clutch AWD box, Porch rear disc, claims it was Vortex diff with rear handbrake (he may have got an already modified Vortex as a donor, still never heard of rear handbrake Vortex or XT6)

Time for some photos me thinks

You gotta ask whether L and MY racks are interchangeable as later model stuff gets used from time to time - the difference may be in rack ends and tie rods.

L Series Front Buckets will they fit on the Brumby rails without any alteration. I have the chance to get some buckets out of two 92 L Series Wagons.

No, L series seats are completely different. Rail spacing is alot wider ruling out just swapping the rails over.
