Hi all , I'm looking around for early hose tail injectors that are larger than the ~ 225cc injectors EA82T's are supposed to have .
The aftermarket engine management system I like has injector drivers for high impedance injectors but larger high imp ones are not that easy to find in the old hose tail style .
I know people occasionally fit low imp ones to high imp systems and splice in an injector dropping resistor but that's not an ideal situation . Low impedance or "peak and hold" injectors prefer to be switched by peak and hold injector drivers .

I did read that some NA Ser 4/5 RX7's had 460cc hi imp injectors and they are about as big as I'd like to go on an 1800cc four banger .

460cc is huge, watch you dont compromise your idle and light cruise drivability.

What about adopting a custom fuel rail to accommodate the different injectors

Well from what people tell me big injectors aren't a problem so long as the computer has enough processing power to do things quickly and in real time .
This is also where sequential injection starts to pay off because they only spray once per 720 crank degrees (per cylinder) and also you get to choose when you want them to do so .

The Skyline people regularly use Nismo (Denso) 740cc injectors and an RB25's cylinders are a tad smaller than an EA82's . With the right computers the idle mixtures are fine and one tuning genius got his past the EPA's emissions test too . BTW RB25DETs use 370cc side feed injectors so double std size .

I said up to 460 and if I could find something in the 370-400 range that would be grouse . The old FJ20T ones I have are 370 but low impedance .
