Question about leone 4wd conversion

Post by lincolnthemod » Fri Jul 31, 2009 10:18 am

Hey guys,

I have an '84 Leone and am interested in putting a 4wd gearbox in it. The gearbox I intend to use is from a '83 station wagon, I am 99% sure this is mechanically possible, but am entirely unsure what I would have to do to be able to get this roadworthy or would RWC not be possible at all.

Any help is appreciated,

Lincoln

Not sure on the legalities, best to contact your local authorities.

U can change to 100% on the mechanical possibility - it's been done many times.

I think the only real difference body wise between your car and a 4x4 one is a couple of captive nuts in the rear end where the 4x4 K frame bolts in. You can post nuts down the chassis rails from behind the rear bumper to solve this problem.
