Measurements on EA82T header .

I finally dug out that Vortex (86 I think FWD wrecker one) and measured up the inlets , outlets and crossover pipe diameters .
Strange thing .
Crossover is ~ 50.5mm .
NS pipe ID necks down to ~ 33mm .
OS pipe id ~ 43mm .
Turbo flange pipe ~ 37mm .
The turbo side heads outlet is the largest and the opposite side the smallest and the radius to the up pipes inlet not as bad as I thought though there is a step the wrong way round .
Most people seem to make an American TWE type copy and from what I hear they use 1 3/4" tube for the engine pipes and similar or something up to 2" for the up pipe .
Gareth has said that 2" up pipes can make EJ turbo engines a bit laggy so maybe 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 . Maybe it needs to taper into whatever sized flange and turbo is being used .
Food for thought , cheers A .
