Mazda 929 I have heard. Or MX5 with some minor mods.

The stock MY Touring wagon seats are pretty good with adjustable lumbar, certainly far better than a lot of other car manufacturers stock seats. MY Touring wagons aren't real easy to find anymore though...

Not sure if this applies to MYs, but I recently found that it's dead easy to remove the metal frame from the seat cushion in an L Series, and it fits straight into the cushion of a Liberty seat. Original frame -> original seat rails -> seat goes in original position, without having to fabricate mounts.

late 80's Astra seats are suppose to go in pretty easy.

Yes Liberty seats do fit straight in the L series frame. Did that with my L series Leone before fitting RX Turbo Lseries seats. Was curious if you could do the same with Liberty seats to a GLF Coupe or perhaps Vortex seats or RX Turbo seats to thew MY seats metal floor frame.
