Looking at alt radiators for RX Turbo .

Hi all , was back at the wreckers yesterday looking for MAF plugs for an alternate AFM to run on my Skyline .

I ALWAYS stickybeak at radiators and various oil coolers because I'm a parts tart and buying second hand can save lots of dough .

I stumbled across a couple of Euro cars that had low height radiators and thicker cores than the marginal L series rad . I think the inlet and outlet are even the same as the L and it doesn't have the filler and cap which is a bonus for me since I want to run the EJ turbo type reservoir tank/cap system . The core itself I think is easily double the thickness of the L one and the gills are finer as well .
It's going to be a bit of work to get it out because Euro cars are pretty cramped in the engine bay .

Also while I was there I looked at old (VL) Commodore tailshafts because they're two piece and provided the shaft lengths are slightly longer than 5 spd L it could be a good basis for a new shaft with removable uni joints .
Actually 5 spd Bluebird (82-85) tailshaft may be better because the center joint is a uni rather than a CV joint .
Very convenient that the Nissan and Subaru box end slip joint is the same .
Fingers crossed the diffs companion flange is the same too .

A .

Cheers A .

i used to own a bluebird. replacing the uni joint was really easy! if only my lib was that easy to fix.
