I seen the thread on performance options for older subarus is there one on options for newer ones ej25s,muffler mods ,cold intake,etc

there sure is....i just did the rear exhuast on a gen3 2.5....got more torque and about 100ks better fuel economy on trips...best thing for a subaru is to open them up as they are very restricted....pod or really good K&N filter...open rear muffler up with sports or small cannon

be carefull with the k&n, a brand new pre-oiled one killed my afm within a 1 month. i would advise on a dry pod or replacement panel filter in the air box.

Agreed abt the oiled filters - lucky I was able to clean mine up. Never went back to K&N or performance filters. Went back to standard ones.

hmm the k&n site seems to deny very strongly that their oiled filters bugger up afm's. im still gonna put one on my 22 very soon- ive seen flow tests between the k&n's vs standard filters and they do work very well.

hey, used a k&n on my past ea92t, brilliant! yeah but no AFM:p
It is so so easy to over oil them when it comes to cleaning.
I mean how do you really know is too much or too little. put too little oil
and you risk it not stopping particles, so it takes practice, better to over oil then? if you got AFM your buggered.
But i'm rather impressed by the way k&n document there position

could look at airhog too...like K&N but i have not had any problems with them at all
