You have taken the torque convertor and replaced it with the flywheel???

If you have it should fit straight in!

make sure there arent any extra dowels between the box and engine. sometimes the dowel will end up in the incorrect end and you can have 2 dowels hitting agsinst eachother preventing it from going together

try turning the crank to

sometimes the Clutch plate will get stuck in wrong spot for the Splines to line up, and turning something can fix it.

If you haven't left the clutch pressure plate bolts loose try that out - this will allow the clutch disc to move arouns, allowing you to line up the gearbox input shaft into the bearing on the flywheel. Once you've got the gearbox on and bolted up, tighten the clutch pressure plate bolts through the starter motor hole - will need starter motor removed for this ;)
