Yeah they all worked last time I checked:)

The back end of the grey wagon looks weird now, Oh and there's a huge noticeable canon exhaust that's sticking on the side LOL!

Just got the clutch back today, quality job by scott. However the adapter plate and bolts are not quite lining up.

Heres a photo of the situation at present

Anybody got any ideas as to why it wont go on? Thinking about drilling the top gearbox holes out slightly but its a bit dodgy....

You should have bought my Adaptor plate, 3 very happy clients:P Lol

But seriously, you should grind off the plate where its close to the flywheel and allow about 2mm gap. You can also drill the bolt holes wider, no issues there. Just as long as the stud holes are tight enough.

Gd luck:)

Yeah.. I'd take that adapter plate back !! Dodgy bastards :D

I did have similar troubles with Glen's conversion and we just opened up the holes slightly on the gearbox. Don't see it being dodgy as long as the dowels are in place, everything will be lined up correctly.

I had 20 of these adapter plates made up and only have 3 left. Yours and Glen's are the only ones that have had this problem??

btw.. you must have put some serious force on them bolt :???:

Hmm I'll have to give it another go after uni today. The dowels and bottom bolts were fine so should be sweet.

As for snapping the bolt...well I have been working out a bit lately hahaha

hose adapter worked out to be perfect size for ej to ea radiator hoses... not sure how well it will hold but once the engine is in, wired up and running it's coming straight back out to put ej radiator and after market mounts in and fix one or two other things... ran out of time to get hold of them and or put in before the weekend when we'd tee-d subarino up so just do it after..

I got mine on fleabay - about $30 each plus postage, except I got one 9 inch and two 7 inch to fit between the radiator and the EJ. I reckon I'd go 2x 9 inch if I was to do it again as they're 5-7mm thinner and pull a pot load more air than the 7's do. Either way I can now drag some serious heat from the radiator

Cheers

Haha yeah well thanks to dave's handywork we got her running, it was running a bit rough though and we found that the injectors on cylinders 3 and 4 aren't working properly so have to get them serviced.

But since then i've been lazy and the dash is still out, hopefully attack a bit of that this afternoon. Then we need to adapt the bottom rad hose, the l series heater pipes dont reach so hoping liberty ones will? missing a few vacuum pipes aswell so get them sorted then give her a good service.
