Yeah but the numbers of MYs are dropping rapidly... Just a few years ago every member except maybe one in WA had an MY... and boy did the rare people with Ls cop some ****.

everybody is working out that L series are better mate thats why LOL you might have to upgrade Dave....

One of these day's I'll get adventurous and try to make an L series Hatch.
U know...just cut the rear door section out completely. Should just need a shortened tailshaft, brake lines and fuel lines :)

Jay can help me - looks like you can weld just about anything! That's some bloody awesome work dude.

If it's only for looks, another way is to get some 3" exhaust pipe bent to shape. Paint it with rattlecan silverfrost - then it'd look a bit like a Jumbuck. :D

One day I will make a real Brumby out of a Jumbuck.

Just waiting for the prices of the damn things to come down. I'm talking restyled bodywork to resemble an Impreza, Impreza dash fitment and full EJ20 turbo AWD driveline.....

Sorry, thread revival.....how did the checker plate mount to the vehicle?
Did the toolbox idea ever get developed?

Bugger....i need a bar of some kind to carry a kayak...and the cut down second handy was a brilliant idea...will search wreckers next week, but i cant see how the checker plate mounted on the vehicle....anyone know?

looks like it might be folded and jusr rivetted to the side of the tray....not exactly strong i would think.
