ok so ive got 2 libertys both gen 1 1 auto n with a s1 motor the other manual with a gen1 s2 motor i wanna no which motor n ecu i should put into my brumby

if there is any majour differences

mattack said the injectors but thats all i no so far any help greatly apperacited

they may also have different intake piping setup.

maybe more resonators in the S2.

(S2 has the bigger injectors for any1 else wondering. being redtops, where S1 are Grey?tops i think)

with the wiring there is 3 main plugs on the S1 motor which Subarino has told me is the earths for all the engine sensors.
and S2 only has the 2 and needs a decent Earth from motor to Battery (which you should have anyway)

Are there any differences in compression, millage or spark plug condition on the engines? Those are the kind of things I'd be basing my decision on...
You can always swap little things like injectors and intake pipes.

Use the newer one. There was an injector size difference between the older ones and the newer ones... Grey cap ones and red cap ones. i forget which is better. See if the injector caps are the same colour on both.
