Warning for beafy clutches in MY/Lseries

Post by SuBaRiNo » Tue Apr 24, 2007 2:40 pm

Just a warning to anyone out there thinking of getting a stronger clutch custom made for there subies, that are still running the L series or MY clutch set up.

The clutch forks can not handle it... i have just snapped my 2nd clutch fork and have now had Vidler modify a fork for me to help cope with the pressure.

Experience has taught me that the aftermarket performance clutches will be fine but if you get anything specially made u should either get your fork modified or think twice about it.

Wise words my friend - sorry you learnt this 1 the hardest way (this is not a shot at you either by the way).
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).
