Post by L-Raiser » Sun Mar 18, 2007 6:00 pm

Dear Forum,

Does anyone know of any W.A. based mechanics who can modify an EJ gearbox....??

Im seeking a local mechanic to basically put an 'L' Low Range gearset (1:59:1)into an EJ AWD Series 1 casing....

I havn't used one myself but in reading up on various forums these names seem to pop up regularly with positive feedback regarding work on gearboxes...

Can try Cliff at Clifford Automatics (9328 6822), he may not want anything to do with it but could be worth a call if you get stuck. He has a early 90s liberty that he plays around with, has a GT Legacy conversion and (not 100% sure on details) auto trans with 4wd conversion - are these normally AWD?

Thanks HEAPS guys.....

I really appreciate your feedback...!

This forum is the best thing to happen to us Subi Fans....
I felt like an 'emu' - blindfolded and head in the sand before I found this site...

The knowledge and experiences that are shared in here are worth their weight in 'STI' Parts...! hehe

SO...THANK YOU Forum....and thanks to ALL those who've made this possible....!!!!!! :D

Ive learnt more about Subi's in three weeks in here than Ive learnt in three years on my own 'out there'....

Kaz :)
