Exactly what it sounds, a small switch, available from jaycar and friends for about $1.50.
Other methods also use a pressure switch placed inline with a "vacuum" line so that basically once the turbo boosts to a particular level the water pump starts on the sprayer.

i was thinkin these off a wrx (ebay) theyre cheap! lol
im not concerned about colour or hacking up my bonnet as it has to get re painted soon anyways.
any ideas/suggestions
I did this with my sedan when I had it. you could almost cook an egg on it before the vortex vent went in. if you are handy with steel grab an early 80's pulsar bonnet and graft the vents out of it into your bonnet.
current wagon has the vortex scoop on it as well.
if you are going to vent it I would use something the is durable and not a bit of F/G. see also nissan patrol and the new hilux. both of those are aroundthe $100-150 mark and they have the bolts in them already.

A guy from TAFE told me the other day that it is really good, but due to al its animated menus/popups ect. It is really hardware intensive. He said you basically need a $2500+ machine to run it properly, and it wont run without a good graphics card.

Essentially it's just WinXP but prettier, you can turn all the animated crap off.
Bare minimum I would recommend is 1.5GHz CPU, 1Gb RAM, 64Mb Graphics card. Home Premium (the general purpose version) also takes a minimum FIFTEEN GB to install.
Now days you can get an Acer or Compaq tower with all these specs for about $700 and packages or laptops for about $1000.
In theory it does have better support for 64bit and multicore processors, yet to see it in practice though.
After playing with it more and more it's growing on me but I'm not going to rush out and grab it.
BEWARE: the EULA of all Vista upgrades states that once you perform the upgrade you are no longer legally allowed to use your previous version of windows.
