Apparently from what the dealer said it is always the wiper motor end one that chops out, which was also the case with this car (you can see it in the picture), so you could perhaps get away with just replacing the LH rod..
Anyway, it is not necessary to remove the wiper motor and the wiper axles, remove the plastic air chamber cover and once you can see the mechanism:
With a flat screwdriver you can pop the old rods off the ball pivots by placing the blade between the dust cap and the connecting part of the rod and twisting it, the rod will just pop off the ball pivot.
To install the new rods, which come pre-greased, just wipe the ball pivots and push the rods on, this is best done by placing your thumb on the pivot arms and your 4 fingers on the rods and squeezing, they pop-on quite easily.
Once that is done, reinstall the plastic air chamber cover with new clips if needed, these are the part numbers:
91167FA010 - 10off
91167AA000 - 1off
91167FA200 - 2off
While I was at it, I decided to measure the LH Trico-tech Beam blade that was too long to fit properly so I could pick her up a shorter one, then I looked at it and thought 'I bet I can shorten THIS one'... turns out you can:
1. remove plastic end clip - just spread it.

2. slide-off the plastic 'spoiler' trim

3. cut desired length off the end of the steel spring-strip and plastic trim with an angle grinder and thin cut-off wheel

4. vise-grip that steel piece upside-down on the end of the shortened spring strip and use it as a template to cut new notches on the sides for the clip

5. put it all back together. Done.
