EOI Snorkels

Post by Matt » Thu Feb 16, 2012 11:11 pm

I am looking at making up some Stainless Steel Snorkels, need around 6 or more to make it worth my time. They will be all mandrel bent and ready to bolt up with slight mods to your car. They will be similiar to this in design, the welds will be better, possibly TIG, TBA.

The first batch will be for MY / Brumby's expanding to Forester's Etc.

Price will be around $500 depending on numbers order also depending on with the finish is brushed or polised. Remember these are Stainless steel and will last forever, the one pictured has been on Bianca going on 5 years and i have had not dramas, collected on trees etc with no damage.

Good idea but I couldn't really justify spending $500 on it..

Will it utilise the standard brumby airbox and include that piping as well?

yes piping and some modification to the air box, although if you have a lift kit it will already be modified. :)

That snorkel looks mighty nice. I might be interested in the future when you make then for a forester (or "L")...

I am currently trying to design a PVC snorkal for myself,
Stainless Steel would be better but i can't justify that much money.
Where do you buy the steel? Rough price?
Does it come with the ram? What size diamatre is the pipe?
What are these mods that you would have to do?
I hope your willing to give away a few secrets, PM?

Cheers Cam

I am using 3 inch piping, steel pricing various depending on how much. And yes it would come with the ram. :)
Mods are bigger hole in body to feed it in and also slight mods to the inner guard protector.
