brake upgrade
hey guys!
im back with a new car.
i just bought a 2005 liberty 2.5 and i'm loving it.
im looking into getting a pair of 4 pot 99 wrx brakes but im wondering if the standard disc brake will fit? will it interfere with the abs as the standard ones are 2 pot? are they worth it?
also found an 01/02 STI strut brace, would it fit my car?
much appreciated
Jimmy

To be honest, having 4 pots myself and doing it from scratch -
$300 for calipers
$50 for rebuild kit
$200 for slotted rotors
$200 for good pads
=$750
for $800 you can get a set of willwood 4pots with
discs, pads and braided stainless lines but.....
Probably more expensive for new consumables.
Because they have adapter they become non ADR
compliant.
But loads of wank factor!
If I do it again, I'd get the wilwood kit.
Food for thought.

Yes but as soon as you drive out the driveway even new parts are secondhand. And does that mean you would recommend putting brand new discs and a caliper kit on a secondhand car ??H-top wrote:I do suggest using brand new parts and a rebuild

Visual inspection and test drive will be enough for me
