Hi; an update with my efforts to go green. Pics show forklift motor installed in place of EA82. 10k range with scrapyard batteries and 30k top speed.2 top batteries are 24v for startoff; 3x12v underneath in carrier.54v in rear. Small medical equipment battery is for lights etc (patent pending for battery clamp). AC has been removed.Suby acceleretor cable is connected to forklift potbox on rs strut tower.Next step is to set up charging for 24v with Isuzu truck alternator which will also provide vacuum for brakes.Still on a beer budget so it is not as classy as some on ev websites.

Dunno; not weighed, but the ea82 is lightweight and I would say at least 150kg more. Fgot 2 add if anyone does this go at least 72v with the motor to keep up with 80kmh traffic. 36v is too slow even with 54v through it.
we built one in adeladie a while ago, did a brumby and a L wagon
bit of a shame though, i wanted to keep the gearbox and 4wd but the customer wanted to have it light so they both went ended up being fwd and in my opinion it wasnt that good
the idea is good though but still i would do some different things
