EA82 Weber conversion

Anybody done a EA82 Weber conversion ?
Is there a marked improvement in performance ?
Does anyone have a kit for sale ?

if you design whats needed,
pickstock racing engineering will be happy to make it at competitive costs

I replaced my stock carby on my first EA82 with a weber carby.
The engine produced *slightly* more power, but barely noticable. What was more noticable was the increased fuel consumption.

I even had a carby kit and a *tune* by a carby specialist place near me which didn't make a huge improvement, they rekoned mine was in great condition to start with.


If you want your carby'ed EA82 to be very slightly less pathetically underpowered, go for it but be prepared to take a hit economy wise.

Otherwise in my opinion it was totally not worth it - save up for a better engine :)

Cool, thanks, good advice ... last thing I wanna do is use more petrol.

Go for EJ22 upgrade then you'll notice big difference!

Yea, i think I might look at doing a trade / swap for a Liberty Wagon and avoid the hassle of an engine swap.
