EA82T ECU wiring

Post by ozzyeureka » Mon Apr 27, 2009 11:08 pm

I have a feinds car here, which runs an EA82T from a Vortex. Other than the engine and ECU there are no other Subi bits in the car.
The problem is that the people who installed this engine used any bit of wire they could lay their hands on to get the thing to run, and I mean that quite literally. House wire, trailer wire, some stuff I have never seen before. One cable had 4 different colours and types of wire in it, all joints twisted together and just taped up.

So I have rewired the engine loom, and along teh way, rewired the whole car as well (including HID headlights which are OK on this car ) . However there are lots of unused wires on the ECU and around the engine. I would like to know what these are for just for my own peice of mind, if nothing else. So does any one have a Vortex wiring diagram, or even an EA82T diagram , or a link to such, they can send me please. I am assuming Subaru are the same as most companies and dont change the wiring between cars with the same engine, or not much more that the mapping anyway.
This car is running the Subi dizzy, a GT40r coil, Subi 3 plug ECU and Subi flap style AFM, stock turbo and Ford high and low pressure fuel pumps ( dont know why both, the fuel tank is all of 600mm away from the injectors!) .
