making gear box plate??

is it smarter to get the gear box plate made up to fit on a ea82 box or just worrie about all the cv's and shit for a l box for a brumby??

What type of box is it? What year model Brumby? What Gen EJ motor?

I'm sure if you provide this some people can give you a straight up answer. I also think you can buy the plates from somewhere on here, do a search.

I can't see anything referring to anything "EJ" in that post...
An EA82 gearbox will bolt straight onto an EA81 motor - you do not need an adaptor plate. There are a few other things you need to do for this conversion but nothing too hard - there is a full writeup on it in the tech manual.

It's much easier to go with the adaptor plate and L box, and slightly better offroad.
But, on road the AWD box is so much better.
You can buy the adaptor plate if you go that way and make gearbox mounts.
Or, buy the front drive shafts with the right CV's and make gearbox mounts.
Or, build it all yourself, all the info is on this site somewhere, but you might need to change the setting in UserCP to show all posts.
Your choice.

i just converted mine with the ej box. im running the inner cv cups from a efi l series. on my origanal shafts. its great on the road but thats not what i built the car for so when i get some funds ill be getting an adapter plate from the b.y boys and if i can find a constant dual range l series box ill be puttin that in
