93 L series wagon : trying to figure out how to take the bulbs out of the rear tail lights, at the back there are the wires with the plugs.... i can read "lock" turn that way.... but it seems really locked!!! I don't want to force it and break the damn thing! I see some grey "thing-a-me-jigs"....do they have something to do with the locking of the plugs

i have tried to push these things with a tooth pick but i really have no idea what i'm doing.....why don't they just turn and pull out

I have found some people have either glued these in or they are in mint condition, meaning you'll still have to use a bit of muscle to move them. Believe me they will unscrew, good thing about subis is they have instruction for everything!

You're turning them in the opposite direction to the arrow, right? Otherwise you're just tightening them. :P Stupid question, I know, but y'know... hehehe

It could be very dirty around that area causing it to "lock up" Someone came to me with an Commodore that he couldnt take the globe out so he asked me to do it it was very very tight even hurted my hand but managed to take it out... turns out that it was very dirty around that area.
Cheers

man they are so hard to turn! but got them out today...the grey 'thing-a-me-jigs' that i could see must what locks the back of the plug in place....after having a beer and a think about it....

i just twisted the damn things a bit harder:p thought they were going to break...must have been the practice of opening the stubbies

....and thanks for all the helpful replies to my big problem.....not my drinking problem:p
