I know quite often you find unused connectors but I have three just near the brake master and booster and begin to wonder...

it's an 85 GLTA

one is a square white connector 3 x 3 = 9 , but has 8 wires to it

two is square, blue, 2, 1, 2 connector with a bare connection plug on it

three is long flat yellowy-orange 4, 1, 4 = 9

a 92 model Sportswagon I looked at yesterday had just one, I think it was the square white plug - unused.

mind you the motor is not in for last year so i may have forgot, but was more concerned one may be for a overboost control i have heard about - but don't see ???

I think they are check connectors. The ones that they plug a diagnostic machine into.
I believe that if you have a multimeter, you can read outputs from sensors like coolant temp and o2 voltage ect. Even injector output if you have a dutycycle meter. But i could be misinformed.
