Well, if you fall for same thing I did,, I found power supply problems after my fusible link corrosion caused a nice voltage spike or surge - disabled everything for three weeks - did not kill the ECU, so I bypassed wires here there and bloody everywhere to eventually find the indicator bulbs had blown to the extent of shooting the filament to the inside of the glass and fusing to it - all of them coz I used the hazards while in limp mode to parents place - just got there and died. As I replaced the bulbs the flicker rate went from a constant bzzzzzz inside combo switch to a final ticker, ticker noise I desired at the end of four bulbs. Stupid me was pulling the reverse bulbs and finding they were OK , thinking they were indicator bulbs

so eventually got around to changing the relay that i got from the auto store, the guy said that it would do the same thing as the original. I replaced the relay and... still nor working, checked all the fuses and globes again all good, so could it maybe be the switches the hazard switch and the indicator lever???

Heres the nice burnt hole in the old flicker unit and the new one I got given...
