Engine management - Wolf3D

Post by BlackMale » Wed Dec 27, 2006 12:58 pm

Not sure if i should be here or the mods and performance section... it's all wires to me.

Tis a long short but I’ll give it a crack.

Just seeing what the chances would be of getting my hands on a second hand Wolf 3D engine management system for an EA82T?

At this stage its an interest thing and it is possible that $ will be the killer of this idea however I am willing to explore it and/or listen to others suggestions/ideas.

Thanks
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

i've used one before and never had any problems with it. Manuals etc were fine and the software was nothing flash but it did the job. It always felt like a cheap unit with the look of the hand controller but other than that it was ok.

only slight problem i had with it was that it that it had a Surface Mount Fuse inside the case that was an absolute prick to replace and i did blow it twice (although it was fair enough it blew because the ignition module was dodgy at the time it blew).

New new offerings from either are pretty good....just don`t buy an old V3 Wolf3D or earlier than current release Microtech. The early units were raw and nasty.

i like my wolf... and the new hand controllers are compatable with the older units...

if you go wolf i will send you a copy of my tune... so at least you can get it running,

i like the wolf the car starts every time... but ill let you know more after i get it tuned in the next few months...

do u still run a wolf3d and can u send me some setting so i do not have to play around so much to tune it as i do not like a dyno as a dyno is not teh same as driveing it on the road
