altering 98 wrx wiring harness

i am soon putting a 98 wrx running gear into my 96 impreza.
i have just managed to source the wiring harness to suit the 98 wrx engine and hope to get the engine running by end of week as soon as i get the ecu.
i figure that using this harness the engine will run as per standard so all i should need to do is alter the part that plugs into the instrument cluster, air con and heater controls.
anyone know where i can get the wiring diagrams for both 96 and 98 wrx instrument clusters so i can make a custom adapter harness?

I can photo copy them out of the manuals at work and fax them to you if you want.

why arent you installing the complete 98 loom / dash etc? Would make for a far more complete, reliable solution

i am installing the entire loom but i dont have the dash. if i did have the dash i would have to change door trims etc as well...
had i got a front cut i agree that would have been the easy way...

It may be easier to cut the WRX loom down to the bare essentials required to run the engine and leave the car's loom alone. Just a thought.

well the gx is only 2wd and i am upgrading it to full 98 wrx running gear including abs etc...
using the 98 wrx loom i get to retain the abs etc so i just need to wire up the instrument gauges and stuff and other than that it will be all as if it was standard 98 wrx...
