Post by robdddd » Wed Nov 15, 2006 3:32 pm

Recently put an EJ22 in my L series.....there is a wire from the computer that is fo a Tacho, will this be suitable to run any off the shelf tacho? I assume it is just sending some sort of pulse signal ?

Subi that wont work with an EJ22.

And yes that wire on the ECU will run any tacho... factory or aftermarket... there was some debate before to what the signal outputs but i have run mine off the factory one in the dash and an aftermarket one.

It is a negative pulse just like the negative side of the coil puts out.
