all the warning lights remain on except the oil light with the engine running.the lights i have on are charge ,AT temp[unplugged ]stop light,brake fluid,check engine.they seem to glow very brightly.the funning thing is if i unplug the alt plug only the oil and check engine come on and the oil light turns off leaving just the check engine.the only splicing relating to the warning lights was for the check engine straight into the light green wire going to the plug for it.
any ideas whats causing this?
oh yeah ej into L conversion.

Your alternator has fried it's reg/rec. Common thing to do if you have large draw.
